Sometimes you don't want to show your entire feed; you just want to highlight one specific Instagram Reel on your website. This is perfect for featuring a new product, a viral video, or a special announcement.

This guide will show you two different ways to do this.

Method 1: Add the Reel in EmbedSocial by Copy-Pasting its URL

This is the fastest and easiest method if you only want to display one or two specific posts.

Step 1: Get Your Instagram Reel URL

  • Go to Instagram (on your desktop or mobile app).

  • Open the Reel you want to use.

  • Click the "..." (three dots) icon and select 'Copy link'.

Step 2: Add the Reel as a Source in EmbedSocial

  • Log in to your EmbedSocial account, go to the 'Sources' section and click on "add new source".

  • Select 'Instagram'.

  • From the options, choose "Add post via URL".

  • Paste the URL you copied and click 'Done' and "Create widget".

That's it! Now you have a widget with your desired Reel and you can embed it on your website.

Step 4: Embed on Your Website

  • Copy the widget code from the "Embed" section on your left side menu, and then paste the widget code into your website's editor where you want the Reel to appear.

Method 2: Select a Single Reel from Your Connected Account

Use this method if you already have your full Instagram account connected as a source and want to pick one post from it.

Step 1: Connect Your Instagram Account

  • If you haven't already, go to 'Sources' > 'Add new source' > 'Instagram' and connect your Instagram Business account. This will pull in all your posts.

Step 2: Create a Widget and Moderate Your Posts

  • Go to the 'Widgets' section and create a new widget.

  • In the widget editor, open the sources section and select your main Instagram account as the source. You will see all your posts appear.

  • Go to the 'Moderation' tab and click the 'Disable All' button. This will hide every post in the widget. Then scroll through the (now grayed-out) posts and find the one Reel you want to display. Click the 'Enable' button on that single post.

  • Open the "Editor" section now where you can see your widget. Then open the "Layout" section in the editor, and select on 1 post to be displayed on Mobile and Desktop view:

That's it! Now you have only 1 post shown in your widget. You can embed the widget code into yoour website and see how it looks live.
