How to Embed YouTube Live Stream Widgets on Any Website

Learn how to connect a YouTube Live stream to EmbedSocial, choose a template, and embed a live video widget on your website with this step-by-step guide.

Displaying your YouTube Live content on your website is a great way to engage visitors. With EmbedSocial, you can connect your live stream URL, customize its appearance with templates, and publish it anywhere with a simple embed code.

1. Find Your YouTube Live Video Links

Step 1: Navigate to the official channel and switch to the Live tab

Once you are on the wanted channel homepage, locate the horizontal navigation menu below the channel banner. Click on the tab labeled "Live" to filter the live videos.

Step 2: Copy the URL

The format should be: https://www.youtube.com/@[BrandName]/streams

2. Connect a YouTube Live stream and embed it as a widget

To do this, please login to your EmbedSocial account and follow the steps below.

Step 1: Navigate to Sources

In your EmbedSocial dashboard, use the sidebar to navigate to the 'Sources' section to begin connecting your external content.

Step 2: Add a new source

Click the 'Add new source' button located at the top right of the screen to start the integration process.

Within the YouTube source options, select 'Live' and then click the 'Next' button to configure your stream.

Step 4: Connect your YouTube URL

Paste the URL of your YouTube Live stream into the configuration field and click 'Connect source'.

Step 5: Create your widget

Once the source is connected, choose 'Create widget' to turn your live feed into a displayable widget.

Step 6: Choose a layout template

Select a YouTube-specific template to give your live widget a professional, video-first appearance.

Step 7: Copy the embed code

Navigate to the 'Embed' tab in the widget editor and click 'Copy code'. You can now paste this snippet into your website or CMS.

And that's it!

All your new Live videos will be automatically pulled and displayed on your website.
