How to Show Google Review Replies in Your Widget

Learn how to display your Google review replies directly inside your EmbedSocial widget so visitors can see both the review and your response.

EmbedSocial now lets you display your Google review replies directly inside your widget. When a visitor reads a customer review, they can also see your business response right below it — helping build trust and showing that you actively engage with your customers.

Where are review replies available?

Review replies are currently available in the Universal widget editor for the following card types:

  • Modern card — replies are shown directly on the review card

  • Lightbox — replies are visible when a visitor clicks to expand a review

Coming soon: Review replies will also be available in the AI widget editor. Once available, you will be able to show replies by typing a prompt such as "Show review replies on the card."

How to enable review replies in your widget

Follow these steps to show your Google review replies inside your widget.

Step 1: Open your widget. Go to the Widgets section in your EmbedSocial account and open the widget where you want to display review replies. Make sure this is a Universal widget using the Modern card or Lightbox layout.

Step 2: Open the Settings Tab, and go to Card. In the widget editor, navigate to the Settings page in the left sidebar, and click on Card section.

Step 3: Enable "Show review replies." Find the Show review replies toggle and turn it ON. Once enabled, any Google reviews that have a business reply will display that reply directly on the card or in the lightbox view.

Note: It might take some time before all the replies are shown.

Step 4: Save your widget. Click Save to apply the changes. Your widget will now show review replies on your website.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Does this work with reviews from other platforms? Currently, review replies are available for Google reviews only. Support for other platforms may be added in the future.

  2. Can I show replies in the AI widget editor? Not yet, but this is coming soon. Once available, you will be able to enable it by typing a prompt in the AI editor such as "Add review replies to the card."

  3. Which card types support replies? Review replies are supported on the Modern card and in the Lightbox view within the Universal widget editor.

  4. Are review replies translated automatically? Translation support for review replies is coming soon and will work the same way as caption translations.
