Thank you for posting this question!

First things first, the missing permissions can occur when you change your password on your Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, or Twitter account and automatically you lose access to all third-party platforms such as EmbedSocial.

In order for us to keep your widgets updated and also to be able to create new widgets from the posts from your social accounts, we always need active permissions.

Follow the steps below in order to successfully refresh the missing permissions on your connected account:

  1. Open the sources page and click on "Manage accounts" to access your social accounts:

  2. There you will find your Facebook account and you can click on the "Refresh" button.

  3. You will be redirected to Facebook, to re-give the permissions and re-activate your account again. By clicking 'Edit settings' you can select the pages that you would like to use with EmbedSocial and by clicking 'Next' you can see what is EmbedSocial allowed to do with the pages you selected and then click 'Done':

Selecting the desired pages

Enabling all the requested permissions

*Please note that you will need to be logged in with the same Facebook account that is missing the permissions in order to refresh them.

You will need to take the same steps if you would like to refresh the missing permissions on your other Social Media accounts, such as TikTok, Twitter, etc.

Once you refresh the permissions, the accounts should state 'Connected' and the posts will continue to auto-update.
