In this short tutorial, I will show you how to refresh the 'missing permission' on your Social account.

First things first, the missing permissions can occur when you change your password on your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter account and automatically you lose access to all third-party platforms such as EmbedSocial.

In order for us to keep your widgets updated and also to be able to create new widgets from the posts from your social accounts, we always need active permissions.

If missing permission is indicated on your EmbedSocial account, you can easily fix this by following the steps below.

1. Go to the 'Social Accounts' page:

As you can see in the screenshot above, there is an indication that there are missing permissions, so to refresh them, just click the highlighted 'Refresh token' button next to your Facebook account.

2. You will be redirected to Facebook, to re-give the permissions and re-activate your account again (screenshots below):

Please note that you will need to be logged in with the same Facebook account that is missing the permissions in order to refresh them.

Click on the 'Continue' button so you can re-give permissions and by doing that, re-activating your account inside EmbedSocial.

Once you refresh the permissions, the account should state 'Connected' and the posts will continue to auto-update (screenshot below):
