A social media grid shows your latest posts as even tiles in rows and columns on your website. This free template displays image and video posts from Instagram in a clean, image first layout. It updates on its own, with no coding needed.
What the social media grid shows and where to place it
A social media grid is a layout that arranges social posts as equal tiles in rows and columns. On a website, it works as a gallery section that refreshes as you post.
It is not the same as your Instagram profile grid. The profile grid lives inside the app and always uses three columns, while a website grid lives on your own pages.
On your site you choose the columns, spacing and which posts appear. An Instagram feed grid is the most common version, and you can mix in other networks with a social media aggregator.
- Homepage: show your brand lifestyle in a visual section below the hero.
- Product pages: add real customer and product photos near the buy button.
- Landing pages: support a campaign with fresh posts that match its theme.
- About or portfolio pages: show your work and community in one scannable block.
Social media grid layouts
- 3x3 grid: nine tiles in three rows, the classic Instagram look. It fits a compact homepage block.
- 3:4 portrait tiles: taller tiles that match how Instagram now crops profile thumbnails. They suit Reels and vertical photos.
- 4 column grid: more posts per row with smaller tiles. It works well in wide, full width sections.
In EmbedSocial you can adjust the number of columns and rows. Cards can be set to portrait, landscape or square.
