  • How to Embed Youtube Video Playlist on Any Website

In this tutorial, we will show you how to generate and embed an entire Youtube video playlist with the social media aggregator EmbedFeed. 

EmbedFeed has direct integration with the Youtube API that enables users of the platform to automatically sync their Youtube playlists with their websites.

This means that you will no longer need to copy/paste the codes available in the section when you click the share button below each individual video on Youtube.

No more manual management of the videos for your website and no coding skills required.   

Important: Before you start, login into the EmbedFeed platform. If you are not here yet, register for a free trial and you are ready to go! Once you have an account of the platform, just follow the steps below on how to embed youtube playlist :

Step 1: Go to Sources and click ‘Add source’

Step 2: Choose ‘Youtube‘ from the social media networks list

Step 3: Choose a Youtube playlist and in the provided input field enter the link of your Youtube Channel, choose the playlist you want to embed and click ‘Next’

Step 4: Once the feed is generated click ‘Create feed’ and you will be redirected in the Youtube playlist widget screen

Step 5: Copy the top-left code (as shown below)

Step 6: Paste it in your website’s page HTML code body section (where you want the widget to appear)

That’s it.

To view the embedded video content, the users will need to click on a particular video that appears in a popup with its full description generated from the video post on Youtube.

The format is the same as the Youtube player with all its player controls and the options to allow fullscreen.

Please note: If you use other web platforms, such as WordPress or Squarespace, please follow their instructions on embedding third-party HTML, iframe or Javascript codes.

Embed Youtube Playlist in WordPress

Once you have your EmbedFeed Youtube embed code, just follow these steps to add the code in your WordPress page:

  1. Open the page editor and select the area where you want to display the playlist
  2. Click on the plus icon and select Custom HTML block (you can also use a shortcode so instead of an HTML block choose the shortcode block). 
  3. Paste the code in the block
  4. Click Publish

For Older WordPress versions 

In case you are If you are using an old version of WordPress check this screenshot below.

You will need to open the page and click on the Text option (not the Visual) in the editor, where you will only need to paste the code. 

Customize your Youtube Playlist widget

For those of you who want to make sure their Youtube widget fits their web page branding, they can use a variety of options available in the Settings panel. 

Additionally, if you navigate to the Moderate tab you will be able to manage which videos to appear or be removed from the live feed.

Add more related videos to your Youtube Playlist

To keep your playlist updated and relevant fo your audience, a good idea is to continue adding related videos to your playlists. 

To do this, go to your Youtube account, select the Youtube playlist you want to embed and then follow the steps:

Step 1: Click the 3 dots icon and click ‘Add videos’

Step 2: Search for your topic and handpick the videos and click Add videos

Additionally, the platform automatically checks for new playlists so you do not need to know the playlist id nor manually add the playlists.

Every time you create a new playlist for your Youtube account, EmbedFeed will generate it and if you need to embed it, just follow the same steps above.
