LinkedIn MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT

There's no official LinkedIn MCP, so EmbedSocial runs a hosted LinkedIn MCP server for company pages: connect your page's posts and the posts that mention it once, paste one URL into Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code, and query them from a prompt. No code, nothing to host, no scraping.

  • Your company page's posts and every post that tags your page
  • Works as a LinkedIn MCP in Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor
  • Page-admin sign-in through LinkedIn's official API

Claude with the EmbedSocial MCP connected, reading posts that mention your LinkedIn company page. Illustrative example.

Is there an official LinkedIn MCP server?

No. LinkedIn has not published an MCP server for company page content. The LinkedIn MCP servers you find on GitHub and in MCP directories fall into two groups: ones built on LinkedIn's API, which need your own developer app and LinkedIn's approval, and ones that scrape LinkedIn with your login cookies or a headless browser. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits scraping and automated access, so the second group can get your account restricted.

EmbedSocial uses the official API. A page admin signs in with LinkedIn, EmbedSocial collects the company page's posts and mentions through the official API, then exposes them to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible tool as four tools at one URL. You connect the page, paste the URL, sign in, and prompt.

Analyze LinkedIn Post Performance in Google Sheets

Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull posts from our LinkedIn company page in [widget] for the last [90] days. Pull available website widget post clicks, icon clicks, lightbox opens, and CTA clicks for the same period, with one row per day. Keep the company post inventory separate from widget-level metrics. Do not infer per-post LinkedIn performance or posting-time recommendations from widget totals. Export the results into Google Sheets with a raw data tab, a widget metrics tab, and a summary with three recommendations.

Build a Monthly LinkedIn Analytics Report in Gamma

Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull our LinkedIn company page posts and LinkedIn mentions from [widget] for [last month] and [the month before]. Calculate total collected posts and mentions, and month-over-month change. Pull available website widget post clicks, icon clicks, lightbox opens, and CTA clicks separately. These measure website widget activity, not LinkedIn platform performance. Include 5 example posts, the top 5 authors by mention frequency, the sentiment breakdown of mentions, and the main themes. Report missing metrics as unavailable rather than estimating them. Then use Gamma to create a 10-slide report with an executive summary, key metrics, example posts, mentions, themes, and three recommendations for next month.

Turn LinkedIn Mentions into HubSpot Leads

Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull LinkedIn mentions of our company page from [widget] for the last [7] days. Score each mention for buying intent (high, medium, low) based on questions, recommendation requests, pricing interest, or product praise. For every high and medium intent mention, create or update a HubSpot contact with the author’s name, LinkedIn profile URL, company if available, the post link, and a note summarizing the mention and intent score. Skip contacts that already exist and add a note to them instead.

Rank LinkedIn Brand Advocates in Google Sheets

Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull LinkedIn mentions of our company page from [widget] for the last [90] days. Group the posts by author and rank each author by number of mentions, number of active weeks, and average sentiment. Sort them into three tiers: top advocates, rising advocates, and one-time mentioners. Export the results into Google Sheets with a ranked advocates tab, a top posts tab with links, and a raw data tab.

LinkedIn tools your agent can call

Four tools, listed by your AI client the moment you connect. Each one reads the LinkedIn sources you connected in EmbedSocial, nothing else.

  • Company page posts and mentions

Posts your company page published and posts that tag your page, filtered by date range or keyword, with text, media, author and date.

    • socialfeed_items_query_api
  • Single posts

One LinkedIn post by its ID: text, media and engagement details.

    • social_feed_get_single_media
  • Widgets and their analytics

Every widget built from your LinkedIn sources, and its post, icon, lightbox and CTA clicks over a period.

    • socialfeed_widgets_list
    • widget_analytics_get_metrics

Company pages only. You need admin access to the page, and each connected page counts as one source. Personal profiles and hashtags aren't supported. Company page posts require Pro or higher. LinkedIn Mentions require Pro Plus or higher. MCP access requires Premium.

Run LinkedIn for clients from Claude or ChatGPT

LinkedIn is where B2B brands and the agencies behind them do their real work, and most of it is still manual: checking who tagged the page, screenshotting posts for the monthly report, copying wins into the CRM. With the EmbedSocial MCP connected, Claude or ChatGPT can read every client's company page and mentions, flag the posts that need a reply or a thank-you, and turn a month of activity into a report, all from one chat.

LinkedIn MCP FAQ

Is there an official LinkedIn MCP server?
No. LinkedIn has not published an MCP server for company page content. The servers on GitHub and in MCP directories are community-built: some use LinkedIn's API and need your own approved developer app, others scrape LinkedIn and risk breaking its terms. EmbedSocial is a hosted, no-code LinkedIn MCP that connects your company page through the official API to any MCP-compatible AI tool.
What is the LinkedIn MCP server URL?
https://embedsocial.com/admin/mcp. Paste it into Claude as a custom connector, into ChatGPT under Connectors, or into Cursor and any other tool that supports remote MCP servers, then sign in with your EmbedSocial account.
How do I use the LinkedIn MCP with Claude?
Add https://embedsocial.com/admin/mcp as a custom connector in Claude and sign in with your EmbedSocial account. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add embedsocial --scope user -- npx mcp-remote https://embedsocial.com/admin/mcp. Then ask Claude for your company page posts or mentions in plain language.
Does it work with personal LinkedIn profiles?
No. The EmbedSocial LinkedIn MCP works with company pages only. You connect a page you administer, and the MCP reads the posts that page publishes and the posts that tag it.
Can a LinkedIn MCP get my account banned?
A scraper-based one can. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits scraping and automated access, and MCPs that log in with your cookies or a headless browser break that rule. EmbedSocial uses LinkedIn's official API with page-admin sign-in, rather than scraping with your login cookies. This does not guarantee protection from account restrictions.
Do I need to code anything?
No. You connect your company page in EmbedSocial, paste one URL into your AI tool and sign in. EmbedSocial hosts and maintains the server.
Is my LinkedIn data secure when connected via MCP?
Yes. Access is authorized through your EmbedSocial login, and your AI tool only sees the LinkedIn sources you connected. It can't read your messages, connections or personal profile.
