Build a Monthly LinkedIn Analytics Report in Gamma
Use EmbedSocial’s LinkedIn report agent to turn a month of LinkedIn activity into a polished, presentation-ready deck.
One connection. Runs on your live EmbedSocial data.
What does it do?
Connect EmbedSocial with Claude and Gamma to create an agent that pulls your company page posts and the posts that mention your page from the past month. The agent calculates post volume, website widget clicks, lightbox opens, CTA activity, month-over-month change, mentioning authors by mention frequency, sentiment, and themes. It then builds a branded report deck in Gamma.
Useful for
- Replacing manual monthly reporting: go from raw LinkedIn data to a finished deck in one prompt;
- Seeing your content and your community together: your website widget activity next to what others say about you;
- Reporting to clients and leadership: a polished Gamma deck you can share as a link or export.
How to build a Monthly LinkedIn Analytics Report in Gamma
- Create your EmbedSocial account. Sign up for a free EmbedSocial trial to connect LinkedIn and turn on the MCP.
- Add your LinkedIn sources. Connect your company page and add mentions of your page.
- Let the widget collect posts. Keep it running for at least two months so you have a previous month to compare against. Publish the widget on your website and let it collect widget activity before reporting on clicks.
- Connect Gamma in your AI tool. Add the Gamma connector to Claude and log in to your Gamma account. Confirm that the connector can create a presentation in your environment before running the prompt.
- Set up the EmbedSocial MCP in Claude. Paste the MCP URL into Claude and authorize access with your EmbedSocial account. Use a Claude environment that supports the connected tools required below.
- Run the prompt. Ask your AI tool to build the monthly report in Gamma. Save the prompt and run it again at the start of each month.
Note: Depending on the connectors you are using, you may be prompted to authenticate your platform connections by logging into your accounts. LinkedIn tracking covers the connected company Page and its collected mentions only. It does not cover personal profiles or LinkedIn-wide keyword searches. Recurring runs require scheduled tasks on a paid Claude plan and access to all required connectors. Tasks using only remote connectors can run remotely; tasks requiring local files or apps run locally. Availability and organization settings vary. Test the workflow manually before scheduling it. Widget clicks, lightbox opens, and CTA activity measure interactions on your website, not reactions, comments, or reposts on LinkedIn. Only report metrics returned for the selected widget and period.
Real-world use case
Imagine you send a LinkedIn performance report to leadership every month. Instead of exporting data, building charts, and designing slides by hand, you ask Claude:
Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull our LinkedIn company page posts and LinkedIn mentions from [widget] for [last month] and [the month before]. Calculate total collected posts and mentions, and month-over-month change. Pull available website widget post clicks, icon clicks, lightbox opens, and CTA clicks separately. These measure website widget activity, not LinkedIn platform performance. Include 5 example posts, the top 5 authors by mention frequency, the sentiment breakdown of mentions, and the main themes. Report missing metrics as unavailable rather than estimating them. Then use Gamma to create a 10-slide report with an executive summary, key metrics, example posts, mentions, themes, and three recommendations for next month.
Your AI tool pulls the month’s data, compares it with the previous month, and builds a presentation in Gamma that’s ready to share with stakeholders.
Prefer to build this into your own app instead of running it from a prompt? The same posts, mentions, reviews and widget analytics are available through the social media API.
