Turn LinkedIn Mentions into HubSpot Leads
Use EmbedSocial’s LinkedIn mentions-to-leads agent to turn people who talk about your company into leads your sales team can follow up with.
One connection. Runs on your live EmbedSocial data.
What does it do?
Connect EmbedSocial with Claude and HubSpot to create an agent that pulls LinkedIn posts mentioning your company page and spots buying signals. The agent scores each mention for intent, such as questions about pricing, requests for recommendations, or praise from a potential buyer. It then creates or updates HubSpot contacts with the author’s name, LinkedIn profile, the post link, and a note explaining why they’re a lead.
Useful for
- Catching warm leads on LinkedIn: people asking about or praising your product are already interested;
- Giving sales full context: every contact comes with the original post and a summary of what they said;
- Avoiding duplicates: existing contacts get updated instead of added twice.
How to turn LinkedIn Mentions into HubSpot Leads
- Create your EmbedSocial account. Sign up for a free EmbedSocial trial to connect LinkedIn and turn on the MCP.
- Connect your LinkedIn company page and add mentions as a source. EmbedSocial will collect posts that mention your page.
- Let the widget collect posts. Give it a few days to pull in mentions.
- Connect HubSpot in your AI tool. Connect HubSpot in a Claude environment with permission to create and update contacts. Confirm that these actions are available before running the prompt.
- Set up the EmbedSocial MCP in Claude. Paste the MCP URL into Claude and authorize access with your EmbedSocial account. Use a Claude environment that supports the connected tools required below.
- Run the prompt. Ask your AI tool to qualify the mentions and add the leads to HubSpot.
Note: Depending on the connectors you are using, you may be prompted to authenticate your platform connections by logging into your accounts. LinkedIn mentions don’t include email addresses, so contacts are created with name and LinkedIn profile. Use HubSpot enrichment or your sales team to fill in the rest. LinkedIn tracking covers the connected company Page and its collected mentions only. It does not cover personal profiles or LinkedIn-wide keyword searches.
Real-world use case
Imagine a marketing director tags your company in a post asking her network for a tool recommendation. Instead of hoping someone on sales notices, you ask Claude:
Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull LinkedIn mentions of our company page from [widget] for the last [7] days. Score each mention for buying intent (high, medium, low) based on questions, recommendation requests, pricing interest, or product praise. For every high and medium intent mention, create or update a HubSpot contact with the author’s name, LinkedIn profile URL, company if available, the post link, and a note summarizing the mention and intent score. Skip contacts that already exist and add a note to them instead.
Your AI tool reviews the mentions, qualifies the real opportunities, and adds them to HubSpot with all the context your sales team needs.
Prefer to build this into your own app instead of running it from a prompt? The same posts, mentions, reviews and widget analytics are available through the social media API.
