Send LinkedIn Mentions to Slack

Use EmbedSocial’s LinkedIn mentions agent to get new collected mentions of your company page delivered straight to your team’s Slack channel.

One connection. Runs on your live EmbedSocial data.

What does it do?

Connect EmbedSocial with Claude and Slack to create an agent that pulls new LinkedIn posts mentioning your company page and posts them to a Slack channel. The agent summarizes each mention, adds the author, sentiment, and a link to the post, and flags the ones that need a reply.

Useful for

  • Keeping track of collected mentions: your team sees collected posts that tag your company page without checking LinkedIn;
  • Replying while the post is fresh: flagged mentions get answered while the conversation is still active;
  • Keeping sales and marketing in the loop: everyone sees who talks about the brand in one channel.

How to send LinkedIn Mentions to Slack

  1. Create your EmbedSocial account. Sign up for a free EmbedSocial trial to connect LinkedIn and turn on the MCP.
  2. Connect your LinkedIn company page and add mentions as a source. EmbedSocial will collect posts that mention your page.
  3. Let the widget collect posts. Give it a few days to pull in mentions.
  4. Connect Slack in your AI tool. Connect Slack in a Claude environment with permission to post to the target channel. Confirm that posting is available before running the prompt.
  5. Set up the EmbedSocial MCP in Claude. Paste the MCP URL into Claude and authorize access with your EmbedSocial account. Use a Claude environment that supports the connected tools required below.
  6. Run the prompt. Ask Claude to send new collected mentions to Slack. Run it manually first. For a daily schedule, use a paid Claude plan with scheduled tasks enabled and the required connectors authorized. Review the task, approval mode, and schedule before confirming it.

Note: Depending on the connectors you are using, you may be prompted to authenticate your platform connections by logging into your accounts. LinkedIn tracking covers the connected company Page and its collected mentions only. It does not cover personal profiles or LinkedIn-wide keyword searches. Recurring runs require scheduled tasks on a paid Claude plan and access to all required connectors. Tasks using only remote connectors can run remotely; tasks requiring local files or apps run locally. Availability and organization settings vary. Test the workflow manually before scheduling it.

Real-world use case

Imagine a customer tags your company in a LinkedIn post praising your product, and nobody on your team sees it for a week. Instead of checking LinkedIn notifications by hand, you ask Claude:

The prompt

Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull LinkedIn mentions of our company page from [widget] posted in the last 24 hours. For each mention, write a one-line summary and include the author, sentiment, and post link. Flag any negative mentions or questions that need a reply. Post the results to the #[channel] Slack channel.

Your AI tool pulls the new mentions, summarizes them, and posts a clean digest to Slack that your team can act on right away.

Prefer to build this into your own app instead of running it from a prompt? The same posts, mentions, reviews and widget analytics are available through the social media API.

Analyze LinkedIn Post Performance in Google Sheets

Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull posts from our LinkedIn company page in [widget] for the last [90] days. Pull available website widget post clicks, icon clicks, lightbox opens, and CTA clicks for the same period, with one row per day. Keep the company post inventory separate from widget-level metrics. Do not infer per-post LinkedIn performance or posting-time recommendations from widget totals. Export the results into Google Sheets with a raw data tab, a widget metrics tab, and a summary with three recommendations.

Build a Monthly LinkedIn Analytics Report in Gamma

Using the EmbedSocial MCP, pull our LinkedIn company page posts and LinkedIn mentions from [widget] for [last month] and [the month before]. Calculate total collected posts and mentions, and month-over-month change. Pull available website widget post clicks, icon clicks, lightbox opens, and CTA clicks separately. These measure website widget activity, not LinkedIn platform performance. Include 5 example posts, the top 5 authors by mention frequency, the sentiment breakdown of mentions, and the main themes. Report missing metrics as unavailable rather than estimating them. Then use Gamma to create a 10-slide report with an executive summary, key metrics, example posts, mentions, themes, and three recommendations for next month.
