We are continually updating the EmbedSocial platform, and this time, we made an entire re-design of the look of our social media widgets in the EmbedFeed product.
EmbedFeed is an all-in-one social media aggregator integrated with the major social media networks, built to generate and display social media posts on any possible website.
EmbedFeed provides professional tools such as moderation, customization, custom CSS options to tag posts with custom links, and tons of settings that will help you to fit your social media feed design with your brand.
Thousands of users use this product and regularly send their feedback on possible new features and upgrades.
And this time, we are happy to release a significant upgrade of the frontend design of the social media templates:
Announcing: New Social Media Feed Templates
These templates are already available for all our previous and new users, and you can find them in the Settings bar in the Layouts section.

Design phase: Brainstorming, mockups, and prototypes
Before starting to design, we had in mind the following principles:
- User needs, requests, and feedback
- Follow the latest UI design trends.
- Responsiveness and fit to any device, browser, or website builder
The research phase included a few workshops among our marketing, UX, and customer success teams. And lots of pizza!
Luckily this was before the COVID crisis, so we managed to brainstorm in our office and have lots of fun visualizing how we can launch better widgets for our users.

Why you should embed a social media feed on your website, right now
You can gain numerous advantages as a marketer by merging the power of social media channels and your website.
We are highlighting the main ones:
- Creates a better user experience on your webpage that keeps your visitors engaged
- Lowers your bounce rate and increases your average session time
- Spreads brand awareness and shows the values you represent
- Builds strong social proof
- Drives sales by offering your products in an immersive format
- Expands your social media presence
Before you start embedding, take your time to think about what you want to achieve by adding social media feeds to your website.
For example, if your goal is to increase visitors’ dwell time, you can add a Facebook feed, so that when they come to your website, they can watch your photos and videos and stick around. If you want to keep your audience up-to-date with your latest company news, a Twitter feed will be an excellent fit for you.
Or, if you may want to engage your audience by showing your newest collection. In this case, embedding an Instagram Feed will be a good idea for you. To increase your event visibility, consider trying a hashtag campaign.
Don’t forget that you can always combine your social content from several social media accounts in one place if needed.
The choice is yours!
