Embed on Your Website

How to copy your widget code and embed it on your website.

Your widget is ready, so let's put it on your website. The widget works on any website that accepts an HTML embed, and it takes about two minutes to go live.

Copy and paste your widget code

  1. Go to 'Widgets' and click the widget you want to embed. In the widget editor, click 'Embed' in the left rail and click 'Copy code'.

The Embed widget panel on the Home tab with the JavaScript code and the Copy code button
  2. Navigate to your website builder and paste the code on the desired page, where you want the widget to appear. Most builders have a custom HTML or embed code block for this.

  3. Publish the page and open it to verify the widget is displayed.

That's it! Once you have the widget embedded, it will display your content on your website.

Pick the code type your site needs

'JavaScript' is the default, and the right choice almost everywhere. If your builder strips scripts, switch the 'Select code type' dropdown to 'iFrame'. Use 'URL' where you can only place a link, and the 'WordPress shortcode' on WordPress.

The Select code type dropdown open with JavaScript, iFrame, URL and WordPress shortcode as the options

For what each format does and the lazy loading and SPA options, see the full Embed code guide.

Every builder has a slightly different way to paste custom code. Here are step-by-step guides for the most popular platforms:

You can find guides for many more platforms in the Integrations section.

Good to know: updates are automatic

Once the widget is embedded, you never need to touch the code again. New posts and reviews sync automatically, and any design change you make in the editor goes live on your website by itself.

FAQ

Do I have to re-embed the widget every time I make a change?

No. Changes you save in the widget editor are applied automatically on your website.

My website doesn't allow JavaScript code. Is there an alternative?

Yes. Open the widget, click 'Embed', and pick 'iFrame' from the 'Select code type' dropdown to copy an iframe version. Please note that some features such as Lightbox mode will be limited with the iFrame code.
