You do not switch auto-sync on. It runs from the moment a source connects. What changes is how often it runs, which depends on your plan and on the platform the content comes from.
Auto-sync interval per plan
| Plan | Update time |
|---|---|
| Free | Every 24 hours |
| Pro | Every 3 hours |
| Pro Plus | Every 3 hours |
| Premium | Every 30 minutes |
| Enterprise | Every 5 minutes |
Higher plans check more often, so new posts and reviews reach your site faster. Nothing else about the sync changes between plans.
Platform exceptions
A few platforms set their own pace, and their API limits override the plan interval above:
| Source | Refresh |
|---|---|
| Google reviews | Every 15 minutes |
| Facebook reviews | Every 24 hours |
| YouTube | Every 24 hours |
| X (Twitter) | Twice per week, every Tuesday and Friday |
Every other source follows the plan interval.
When new content does not appear
If something posted on the platform is not in your account yet, work through this in order:
- Wait out the interval. On the Free plan a new post can take up to 24 hours to arrive.
- Check the media limit. Each source has a cap on how much content it holds, from 500 items on Free to 30,000 on Premium. See Sources.
- Check the content is public. Private accounts, unlisted profiles, and restricted posts cannot be pulled. Each platform's rules are listed in Source types.
- Check moderation. A post that arrived but is hidden was likely filtered or disabled rather than never synced.

FAQ
Do I have to re-embed my widget after a sync?
No. The embed code never changes. New content appears in the widget on your site automatically.
Can I force a sync manually?
Auto-sync runs on its schedule. If content is missing well past your plan's interval, contact support rather than waiting for the next cycle.
Why is X (Twitter) so much slower than the other platforms?
X limits how often and how far back its API can be queried. We sync it twice per week, and only public posts from the last 7 days can be pulled.
Does auto-sync remove posts deleted on the platform?
Content already collected stays in your EmbedSocial account. Use moderation to hide anything you no longer want on your site.
