Once you are on the Premium plan, in order to get access and review the API documentation, please go to the 'Integrations' and on the 'EmbedSocial API Key' section is located the 'API Documentation:
and next to the API documentation is located the 'API key'.
That's it! Now you will have access to the API key!
Platform API limitations
Whatever you build on top of the API can only return the content EmbedSocial was able to pull in the first place, and each platform's own API caps that. The limits below apply to the sources themselves, so they shape both your widgets and every API response built from them.
Two apply across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Vimeo: a new source is seeded with its latest 50 items (posts or videos), and new content syncs from there on the schedule your plan sets. Ask us if you need more than the initial 50 backfilled.
Facebook- Posts can only be pulled from a Facebook page you manage and have active permissions for.
- Mention posts need the Facebook account that manages the Instagram account connected to EmbedSocial, for Instagram API privacy reasons.
- A hashtag feed pulls 20 Top Posts and 20 Most Recent posts from the last 24 hours.
- Some Reels containing music may not be pulled, because of copyright restrictions. See Why my new posts are not being pulled?.
- Live videos cannot be pulled.
- Private videos cannot be pulled, even when they sit in a playlist. Only public videos are imported.
- Posts are pulled from company and organization accounts only, not from personal profiles.
- A new Vimeo source is seeded with its latest 50 videos, per the universal limit above.
