Instagram's Basic Display API will be discontinued on December 4, 2024. To ensure uninterrupted service on EmbedSocial, please upgrade your Personal Instagram account to a Business or Creator account and reconnect it using the new API. Please follow these steps to transition smoothly.
To start, please login to EmbedSocial and follow the steps:
Navigate to the “Sources” page, and delete any Instagram Personal account added as a source.
Click on the “Add new source” button and select the "Instagram Account" from the options.
Choose "Instagram Business Account" as the connection type.
Login to your Instagram account, and follow prompts to switch to a Professional account (Business or Creator).
Complete authentication and your account will be added to EmbedSocial.
Add your account in your existing widget:
Now that you have switched to a Professional (Business or Creator) account and connected it in EmbedSocial:
Go to the “Widgets” page.
Click on “Edit” button to open the widget editor.
Click on "Sources" tab inside the widget editor.
Select the connected account.
Your account's media will be automatically pulled into the widget, and displayed on your website.
And that’s it! From now on, all your new media will be updated in the widget.
